Our research group focuses on synthesizing and developing novel materials based on functional nanoscale building blocks. Our interests include:
- synthesis of functional nanostructures and nanocomposites
- surface chemistry for electronic passivation and transport in nanocrystal arrays
- electronic applications of nanocrystalline and molecular building blocks
- renewable energy and energy efficiency applications using solution-processed nano- and molecular materials
Assembling nanoscale and molecular building blocks into rationally designed structures opens pathways to a new generation of functional materials for electronic and optoelectronic applications such as solar energy, thermoelectric waste heat recovery, sensors, and light-emitting diodes.
